Clinical Consultations & Supervision
This collaborative service assists community-based organizations with improving the delivery of services and enhancing organizational culture. Various community-based organizations contract this service to develop and implement programs for at-risk youth, as well as to facilitate parent workshops and professional development seminars for staff. Clinical Supervision is also provided to Mental Health Professionals and Case Managers seeking to enhance their skills.
Transformational coaching aids people in developing a clearer/larger vision for their future that expands past the current conditions of their lives. Through mental health mentoring clients began to grow and expand beyond their self-imposed limitations and identify the true desires of their heart. A special coaching alliance is formed based on common core values and authentic, honest communication. Clients are coached through their cognitive and emotional blocks and supported in developing aspirations to aid in the creation of a new evolving transformative life vision. They are taught strategies to enhance their sense of self-awareness and self-acceptance and the cognitive-behavioral skills needed to manifest their vision.
Consultations are provided to school administration on improving school culture and building community through the use of Restorative Practices. Training and support is also provided to teachers regarding behavior management techniques and restorative discipline. Coaching is provided to teach school staff how to effectively engage, manage and develop relationships with challenging/oppositional defiant youth. Training is provided to help teaching staff understand mental health issues students present in classroom settings and how to effectively respond to these students to deescalate potential crisis. Supervision is also provided to School Social Workers and Guidance Counselors to enhance the quality and effectiveness of counseling services and to improve productivity.
